BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS

In Islam Qaleh’s customs men push karts carrying anything from bricks to car exhausts walk along my side. Their sight is as committed with their task as if they would be introducing forbidden cults. Other men are fleeing the country to attempt to settle in Iran, the first choice for Afghans looking for exile. Their sight doesn’t looked committed, but rather lost, exactly the expression you would never wish to see in a human being… Many of them will end up begging in the streets of Teheran. This stretch of road linking Afghanistan and Iran is, on its own right, a boulevard of broken dreams.
