My name is Juan Villarino, from Argentina, and I am a nomad since May 1st 2005. On that date I caught a ride in a yacht from Belfast, Northern Ireland across the Irish Sea to Scotland. It was the beginning of my dreamt round the world hitch-hiking expedition, aimed to portray and document world hospitality.

I have been thumbing my way across the globe ever since, vagabonding through Europe, Middle East, including Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan all the way to China, Tibet, India, Laos and Thailand... Back in Argentina I met Laura, my road and life mate. We are now together on this round the world quest!

We believe in peace and interdependence, as well as in travel as a lifestyle. Our books try to convey the image of a more hospitable world, and also help Laura and me to fund the round the world hitch-hiking expedition and its related cultural and educational projects.
