AUTOSTOP IN IRAN: THE RIDES FROM ESFAHAN TO SHIRAZ.

Alba stretches her hand (thumbing is kind of an obscene sign) near Bide village.

Iranian hospitality at work: a large family travelling in two Paykan stops. Half of the family leaves one of the cars to let us in. They prefer to wait for a ride themselves….!

The family greet us good bye as they wait for a ride. It was impossible to say no. And look! There is even a baby in the group. That’s the average way of behaving in the so called Axis of Evil…

From Rudabad to Qomeh we traveled in the back of a Mercedes 608D truck.

Invited by a family to join their picninc.

Qomeh to Khafr. We got a ride in a modern Iranian-made Samand. They tried hard to make us accept their hosting invitation. But that would have meant driving back to Qomeh with them.
